How to Report a Copyright Issue

We respect intellectual property, and we expect our visitors to do the same. This page explains how to report content you believe infringes your rights.

What we host

We do not host games, ROMs, or copyrighted media. We host open-source emulator builds under their own licenses, with credit to their teams, and we publish original guides. If you still believe something here infringes your rights, we want to hear from you.

How to send a takedown notice

Email your notice to admin@citra-emulator.org with the following details:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • A clear description of the work you say is infringed.
  • The exact link or page on this site where it appears.
  • A statement that you believe the use is not authorized by the rights holder or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for them.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do next

We review valid notices promptly. If a claim is proper, we remove or disable the content in question as needed, and we contact the person who posted it where that applies.

Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address, with your contact details, the content in question, and a statement explaining the error. We will review it fairly.
