This site is the home of Citra 3DS emulation. Here you get clear guides, verified downloads, and honest, tested answers for the Citra emulator, all in one place. Whether you are setting Citra up for the first time or fine-tuning it, you will find what you need here.
What we do
We write plain, tested guides for Citra and its maintained continuation, Azahar. We cover download, setup, settings, controls, mods and fixes. We also host verified builds, each with a checksum, so you do not have to trust a random reupload. Our aim is simple. You should find everything you need in one place.
How we work
Accuracy comes first. We check facts against the software and official sources before we publish. When something has changed, we say so. Citra is a good example. It is no longer updated, so we tell you plainly and point you to the maintained version when that serves you better.
We do not host games or link to ROMs. You use your own dumped games, from a console you own. We would rather lose a click than send you somewhere unsafe or illegal.
Who writes this
Guides on this site are written by Marcus Delaney. Marcus writes hands-on Nintendo 3DS emulation content and tests builds across Windows, macOS and Android. The focus is on what actually works on real devices, explained in steps anyone can follow.
Staying current
3DS emulation keeps changing, so we keep updating. When a build changes, or a better option appears, we revise the guides that need it. If you spot something out of date or wrong, tell us at admin@citra-emulator.org and we will fix it.
