Slashes, spins, and charge attacks hit zombies with clean, simple motions. Energy builds with each strike, allowing stronger moves that clear bigger groups. Some zombies rush forward, others spit projectiles, and a few carry shields that must be broken with heavier hits. Moving across the map while attacking keeps distance from dangerous groups. Health pickups and small bonuses appear after clearing enemies, helping stay alive through longer waves. The controls stay straightforward, focusing on timing attacks and choosing the safest direction to move.

New zones introduce faster zombies, armored mutants, and large boss creatures with long attack patterns. Some stages include moving hazards like broken machinery or collapsing floors that require quick reactions. Nighttime areas, subway tunnels, and ruined bridges change how zombies approach, demanding different movement and attack timing.
