Every attempt starts the moment a contestant steps forward, keeping the action steady from one obstacle to the next.

Most stages rely on simple movement and timing. Characters run, jump, and dodge while avoiding large moving objects placed along the path. Some obstacles demand quick reactions, like ducking under fast swings or stepping aside before a rotating bar arrives. Others require careful waiting, such as holding position until two platforms line up for a safe jump. Falling into the water sends the contestant back to a checkpoint, encouraging a cleaner approach on the next try. Bonus activities appear between rounds, including hitting marked points, collecting tokens, or surviving short timed challenges.

As later rounds begin, obstacles grow faster, paths become narrower, and new course layouts introduce moving floors, shifting walls, and angled slides. Team rounds and special variants appear, adding new rules to certain stages. Additional characters and costumes unlock as progress continues, giving visual variety to each run. The final course combines the hardest pieces into one long challenge, pushing timing and movement to their limits. When the last contestant reaches the finish line, the competition ends with a clear winner at the top of the results board.
