Dark trouble begins when a secret team detects strange creatures hiding in real-world locations, and a new agent is sent out to track them down. The story starts as scanners pick up signals from invisible beings moving through schools, streets, parks, and quiet buildings. Short scenes show agents talking through radios, giving warnings about energy spikes, and explaining how the scanner can reveal creatures that can’t be seen with normal eyes. Every assignment gives a clear goal, such as finding a hidden creature, scanning a clue, or clearing an area affected by strange activity.

Gameplay mixes simple searching and quick reactions. The agent holds a handheld scanner that points toward energy traces, making the screen show faint shapes, shifting colors, or gentle flashes that lead to the creature. Once a target appears, tapping sends a safe blast that weakens it, and a few hits make it disappear. Some creatures move slowly, while others drift around corners or hide behind objects. Missions may ask for scanning a noise, tracing a trail, or collecting samples that float in a room. All actions stay clear, with strong signals and arrows guiding the agent through each task.

New missions unlock as more creatures are found, including haunted classrooms, dark basements, crowded halls, and outdoor areas filled with strong energy waves. Some tasks require staying still while scanning a point, while others ask for turning slowly to catch a moving shape. A few stronger creatures appear with louder signals and wider movement patterns, but their attack signs remain easy to notice. Short scenes between missions show the team studying captured data, reporting new leads, and preparing the agent for tougher hunts ahead.
