ROM Information
The submarine crew is deployed immediately when enemy vessels are detected, and the first mission begins with a direct goal to navigate underwater and reach a patrol zone while avoiding mines and enemy fire. Each level opens with clearly marked waypoints, hazards, and targets that must be approached carefully. Short radio updates indicate which direction to move or which enemies to engage first. Every stage starts directly with a simple objective such as reaching a checkpoint, destroying enemy ships, or completing a reconnaissance run.
Submarine controls drive the action, relying on depth adjustment, forward movement, and targeting systems to engage enemies. Torpedoes are fired at marked ships, mines are avoided or detonated from a distance, and periscope observations reveal hidden threats. Some areas include narrow underwater passages or moving hazards like falling debris that require precise maneuvering. Power-ups appear to restore hull integrity, boost speed, or provide temporary targeting advantages. Each shot, dodge, or maneuver gives immediate feedback, showing damage dealt or whether the vessel remains safe.
Later missions introduce stronger enemy ships, faster torpedo attacks, and environmental hazards such as currents, rocky outcrops, and explosive mines. Upgrades unlock for better torpedo speed, stronger hulls, or improved sonar detection. Maps expand into longer patrol routes, multi-target zones, and timed missions requiring precise navigation. Short messages indicate the next threat or objective area. The campaign ends once the final enemy base is destroyed, concluding after the last mission secures control of the waters.
