Sangokushi

Warring states rise across ancient China, and the story begins when the player chooses a ruler to lead one of the many regions on the map. Each ruler starts with a few officers, a single city or a small group of cities, and limited strength. The player must guide the chosen kingdom by managing resources, training troops, and preparing for battles against rival lords. Short scenes show alliances forming, threats appearing, and wars beginning as different rulers try to gain control of the land. The goal is simple. Protect your cities, expand your territory, and unify the country.

The gameplay uses clear menu based strategy. The player assigns officers to tasks like gathering supplies, improving city walls, or raising new armies. Moving troops across the map is easy, and battles begin when forces meet. Combat uses simple commands such as attacking, defending, or using special tactics tied to officer skills. Some officers raise morale, while others can cause confusion in enemy lines. City management is important because food, gold, and troop numbers decide how long a kingdom can survive.

As time passes, rival kingdoms grow stronger and send larger armies. Some enemies try to strike weak cities, while others build big forces that require careful planning to defeat. Officers can switch sides if captured or persuaded, giving the player a chance to gain strong allies. Later in the game, bigger armies, stronger tactics, and more territory become necessary to stay alive. Each captured city increases power and opens new fronts to control. Step by step, the player works toward uniting all regions under one rule.
