The first brawl starts when a rival gang attacks the streets of Tokyo, and the opening mission begins with a direct goal to defeat the thugs blocking the main road. Each district opens immediately with clearly placed enemies, interactive objects, and obstacles that can be used in combat. Short messages from teammates indicate which opponents to focus on or which route to clear. Every stage begins directly with a simple objective such as defeating all rivals, reaching a target location, or protecting an ally.

Fighting relies on punches, kicks, and grabs, with combos chaining attacks for faster takedowns. Objects like trash cans, crates, and bicycles can be picked up and thrown at enemies. Some areas include hazards like narrow ledges, moving platforms, or slippery surfaces that affect movement. Special moves fill a meter that unleashes powerful attacks or area damage. Each strike shows instant feedback, making it clear when enemies are defeated and when the path is clear for the next section.

Later missions introduce stronger gangs with faster attacks, shields, and unique abilities that require strategy and timing to overcome. Additional characters unlock with unique fighting styles and special moves, offering advantages in certain encounters. Levels expand into larger streets, alleyways, and rooftops with multi-room fights and mini-bosses that demand quick combos and careful movement. Short dialogue updates indicate which rival or area must be handled next. The campaign ends once the main gang leaders are defeated, concluding after the final showdown restores peace to Tokyo’s streets.
