Puzzle & Dragons X – Kami no Shou

A new journey begins when a young apprentice arrives at a small town where people bond with monsters called Drop Spirits. The story starts when the main character is chosen to train under a skilled mentor who explains that strange changes are happening across the land. Short scenes show townspeople worried about sudden monster behavior, old ruins glowing at night, and strong enemies appearing in places that were once safe. Each chapter sends the apprentice to a new area to learn the cause of these problems and gather clues connected to a powerful divine force.

Exploration takes place in simple maps where the player walks along clear paths, enters caves, talks to villagers, and meets friendly monsters. Battles begin whenever an enemy appears, switching to a puzzle board made of colorful orbs. Dragging one orb across the board creates matches that trigger monster attacks. Matching three or more of the same color powers up the team, and certain monsters grow stronger when their color matches the puzzle result. Skill buttons appear after a short wait, letting monsters use special moves that hit harder, heal, or protect the team. Everything happens slowly enough for beginners to follow without stress.

New regions unlock as the apprentice grows stronger, including forests, hot fields, snowy mountains, and ancient temples guarded by powerful spirits. Each area holds new monsters that can join the team once defeated. Fusion spots in town allow combining monsters to raise levels and unlock better skills. Boss battles appear at the end of every region, using large puzzle boards and clear attack signs. Short scenes after each victory reveal more about the divine mystery and why the land is changing.
