Project X Zone 2

A bright mix of worlds comes together again as heroes from Capcom, Sega, Bandai Namco, and even Nintendo step into another dimension-shifting crisis. Project X Zone 2 follows a new disturbance that pulls characters from different universes into shared battles, leading to surprising meetings and funny exchanges. You travel with a small team of agents who investigate these strange events, moving through cities, castles, laboratories, and other familiar locations from the crossover characters’ original games. The story keeps a playful tone, filled with light jokes, dramatic moments, and lively interactions between heroes who normally would never meet.

Gameplay stays true to the series’ tactical style, placing your units on a grid where positioning matters. You control “Pair Units” made of two characters working together, and when they attack, the screen shifts into an energetic battle mode. Here, you press buttons to launch combos, juggle enemies in the air, and time hits for stronger damage. Nearby “Solo Units” and support characters can jump in to extend your attacks, turning each fight into a flashy chain of movements. Skills, items, and simple character abilities make planning your turns easy to understand while still giving plenty of room for strategy.

As the adventure grows, the roster becomes larger, bringing new combo types, special techniques, and detailed animations inspired by each character’s original game. Maps begin to include hazards, multi-layer layouts, and bosses that require smart placement to defeat.
