Mario & Luigi – Bowser’s Inside Story & Bowser Jr.’s Journey

You might laugh a little at the start, because the adventure begins with a strange problem spreading across the Mushroom Kingdom and a twist that pulls Mario and Luigi right inside Bowser’s body. While the brothers try to find a way out, Bowser wanders across the kingdom without knowing they’re helping him from within. The story switches between silly moments and simple danger as all three characters try to stop a powerful villain who wants to take over everything. The mix of outside exploration and inside-the-body puzzles makes the journey feel lively and full of surprises.

Battles use turn-based actions, but they depend on timing and quick button presses. Mario and Luigi work together using jumps, hammers, and special moves that hit harder when you press the button at the right moment. Bowser, on the other hand, fights with big punches, fire breath, and strong body slams as you guide him through larger areas. Some battles even have giant boss fights where Bowser grows huge, and you tilt or tap the screen to help him win. Switching between the brothers and Bowser keeps the gameplay fresh, because each side handles fights in a different way.

Bowser Jr.’s Journey adds a separate story where Bowser’s son forms his own squad to search for a cure to the kingdom’s sickness. This mode uses simple strategy gameplay, letting you arrange your team and watch them fight automatically while you decide the best formation. As you progress, you unlock new allies and small upgrades that help Bowser Jr. handle tougher stages.
