Armies gather across a large map of Europe as new missions begin in familiar cities and battlefields. Each campaign starts with a small group of units placed near important borders, and nearby nations prepare their own forces in response. Tanks, infantry, and artillery wait for orders, and every move can shift control of a region. Weather changes, terrain blocks movement, and cities offer advantages when captured. Each turn pushes the front line forward, making every decision important as the map slowly fills with advancing armies.

Selecting a unit shows its range, strength, and movement options. Infantry capture towns, tanks break through enemy lines, and artillery strikes from a safe distance. Positioning troops on hills or near rivers changes how battles unfold, giving small advantages in tight moments. Ending a turn lets enemy forces move in, and watching their formation helps decide the next step. Some units need time to recover or resupply, while others can advance immediately. Managing money earned from captured cities allows recruiting new units to strengthen the army.

Harder campaigns include stronger nations, longer battle lines, and missions that require holding key cities for multiple turns. Naval units appear in coastal regions, adding new ways to attack or defend. Certain objectives ask for defeating specific armies, protecting allies, or capturing distant capitals. Completing a mission unlocks the next scenario with tougher opponents and more complex maps.
