Dusty takes off for his first training flight after being accepted into the qualifier races, and the opening mission begins with a direct goal to follow markers in the sky and prove he can handle basic flight control. Air gates, floating rings, and sharp turns appear across each route, showing exactly where he must fly next. Characters like Skipper and Chug give short instructions that point Dusty toward the next checkpoint or challenge. Every stage starts right away with a simple objective such as reaching the finish, beating a time, or completing a stunt path.

Flight challenges depend on clean steering, steady altitude control, and timed boosts. Dusty banks left and right to follow tight curves, dips low to reach gates near the ground, and climbs upward through rising paths. Boost strips and wind currents appear along the way, giving speed for short bursts. Some flights include collecting fuel cans, flying through narrow gaps, or avoiding hazards like balloons and moving obstacles. Racing stages place Dusty against other planes, requiring careful turns and quick boosts to pass opponents without crashing into their paths.

Later events introduce harder courses with sharper bends, longer drops, and faster rivals. New locations unlock as tasks are completed, bringing coastal areas, desert routes, icy stretches, and large city circuits. Extra planes become available, each with different stats for speed, handling, or boost power. Challenge missions test skills such as precision flying, time-based runs, or obstacle-focused routes. The campaign ends when Dusty reaches the final championship race and completes the last course, proving he can compete with the best pilots in the sky.
