Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight begins by placing you in a dark area where the air feels heavy and the ground is covered with broken objects, old walls, and tall grass. You can play as a survivor or as the killer, and each role feels very different. If you play as a survivor, you try to escape the area with three other players. If you play as the killer, your goal is to catch the survivors before they escape. There is no long story or cutscenes. The match starts quickly, and everything depends on how you move and react.

The gameplay is simple to learn. As a survivor, you fix generators, hide behind objects, crouch through grass, and listen for danger. You stay quiet and move carefully because the killer can hear your steps or follow scratch marks you leave behind. When a generator is complete, lights turn on, and you get closer to opening the gates. The controls are easy. You run, heal friends, and interact with objects using one button. As the killer, you walk through the map, search for survivors, and use your special power to catch them. Each killer has a different style, but the controls stay beginner friendly.

As each match continues, the tension grows. Survivors start making riskier moves, and the killer becomes more alert. Some maps are dark forests, others are empty buildings or farmland areas with narrow paths. Items, perks, and small upgrades unlock as you play more matches, giving you new ways to escape or hunt. Even with these extras, everything stays simple to understand.
