Centipede – Infestation

Dylan lands in a ruined outpost after receiving a distress signal, and the first mission begins as mutant insects swarm the area and block every path forward. The goal is set immediately: clear the infestation and protect survivors hiding inside damaged buildings. Centipede segments crawl through broken streets, while flying bugs attack from above. Each location starts with a direct order such as eliminating a swarm, defending a point, or reaching a marked zone before more creatures arrive.

Most combat uses simple movement and shooting. Dylan runs through small arenas, firing in any direction while avoiding projectiles and charging attacks. Weapons can be switched quickly, offering different firing speeds or spread patterns. Power-ups appear during battles, giving temporary boosts like stronger shots or faster movement. Environmental objects break under enemy pressure, creating hazards or opening new lines of fire. Some missions include short platform sections, requiring basic jumps to cross gaps or reach higher ground. Every fight responds instantly to each action, keeping the flow clear and direct.

As the infestation spreads, tougher insects appear with armor, faster movement, or ranged attacks that require careful positioning. New mission types unlock, including escort tasks, survival waves, and cleanup operations in tight corridors. Upgrades improve weapons and gear, helping Dylan handle larger groups and stronger enemy types. Short radio messages update the situation and point toward new trouble spots that must be cleared. The final missions lead directly to the largest infected zones, ending the campaign once the source of the infestation is destroyed and the outposts are secure again.
